What Hawk Enterprises Does And Why
Hawk enterprises was started to help professional integrators or those who seek to develop a more professional business practice expand/augment or be their design and engineering departments or stand in place of a such a department if one does not exist, we also support owners representatives and end users directly. I started this company small, less expensive then others and intend to stay that way, I do not spend money on fancy marketing, business cards, or websites or seek glory in what we achieve, all projects regardless of size and scope are kept in confidence, instead we spend money on training, tradeshows, reinvestments in computer technology, software and process so that we might deliver the best results possible. We work on behalf of the integrator in supporting the design team by providing architects, MEP engineers, Interior designers , structural engineers, Builders and other building professionals the information they require to know exactly what your intentions as the integrator are, exactly where all your items/equipment will be, What builders services you might require i.e. electrical circuits, HVAC load ETC, what finish and color those items will have and any other detail relevant to the project. We also work to support the integrator's installation team by showing exactly what wires will be required and how they should be labeled, where equipment will go in the racks and how it should be labeled and exactly how those items need to be connected to ensure all scope requirements are met. We generally do not seek to support or influence the sales process with the exception of proposal review's and consultations however we do full system designs upon request within your software platform. We believe that we are all human and regardless of how professional we intend to be that people make mistakes and strive to be as flexible as is possible in how we do business.
I have been in the high-end residential AV integration business for 20 years. I started in this business at the bottom roughing in projects of various scales in palm-beach through Miami. I then transitioned into an installer role and quickly transitioned into a lightning system design/programming role. Through the support of some close colleagues, it became apparent that my talents lie in documentation and system design. I transitioned into a design position at a design firm in Hollywood Florida, within 3 years I was in a leadership position at the firm working on projects throughout the world. My role in this firm then transitioned as we moved into the direct to client consulting market as well as design/documentation market to a managerial role, I conducted client and design team meetings, oversaw projects both on-site and virtually, managed a team of 6 draftsmen, engineers and support staff and was responsible for maintaining the strict quality levels that were expected. The design firm transitioned away from the audio-visual design and consulting market and I left the company. I worked at various integration firms performing documentation and engineering for some time before it became apparent to me that I should be working for myself.
